For the more experienced walkers there are the Bowland Fells and our famous Pendle Hill, home of the Lancashire witches with its own dry Ski slope and a marvelous Mexican restaurant.
Nearby are several superbGolf courses, many open to non members, and the Sports Centre, Clitheroe has excellent swimming and recreation activitys. Day/week Fishing passes are available for streches of our local rivers and there are several game and course fishing centres within a 15 minute drive.
